About the studio:

The Create in Clay School of Ceramics is located within the American Steel Studio

in West Oakland. The building houses an up and coming studio collective of some

exciting and talented artists including painters, steel sculptors, contemporary

sculptors, and even a candy maker.

An exciting part of this studio, in addition to being surrounded by artists

that are creating constantly, is that it’s nearly impossible not to be inspired

both by the people around you in the studio and the artists working right outside.

The school’s location helps fuel the creative mind of the students by presenting

endless possibilities. The artists/students that learn from Create in Clay willnot

only learn how to work in clay, but they will also learn how to start a career, if

they choose, in ceramics.
